Description

Now available, a new hexagon screen block for gardens walls, restaurants, hotels and the home. This rustic finish walling allows rooms to be divided but gives good vision across the partition. Essentially a wine rack but produced at 10cm long, these hexagons will build into a great garden screening wall but allow a certain amount of light through. New to this system is a blank hexagon that can be used to break up a large expanse of empty hexagons by randomly fitting these in the wall in certain spots – see gallery. You can also make your own pictorial design with these blocks or if used in a restaurant or hotel they can be used to reproduce a logo or design, the choice and flexibility is endless.

Sizing

Each hexagon is 10cm long, approx 12.5cm width on the parallel sides and 14cm between the points, with holes of 10cm diameter. Vertical wise,(see photo above) one high is 12.5cm, 2 high is 18.5cm, 3 high (2 directly on top of each other) is 25cm, etc.

Width wise, in the side to side configuration interlocked, (see gallery) 1 wide is 14cm, 2 wide the width is 25cm, 3 wide the width is 35cm etc. There are 80 hexagons per square metre of wall. Give us a ring if you need help sizing your wall.

Available in red, 594 per pallet or 7.4m2 coverage. 80 per sq.m.

Please Note: Manufacturer recommendations for screen block walls are that they should ideally be built with cement based mortar (or cement based tile adhesive where stated) between supporting pillars no more than 2 metres apart and any screen wall should not exceed 4m2 in size when no rigid wall top support is in place. This can be increased to 4 metres between pillars and maximum wall size of 12m2 with 2.5m high pillars when braced across the top with a re-inforced support. This is to ensure rigidity of the finished wall.

All our products are frostproof to ISO 10545-2 unless otherwise marked.

Please be aware that the building products we supply have been formed in a mould and have been fired in a kiln. These are natural products made from 100% pure clay and as a result after firing they can have sharp edges and also be subject to slight distortion and twisting and also display small firecracks. This is a natural result of the drying and firing process and cannot be helped and does not affect the structure of the product. Clay is a natural product and there can be variances in the colours of the finished products. Please use hand protection when moving these products. These sharp edges will weather over time if the product is used in an external environment.
