Description

On offer, a pallet of 125 Camp screen blocks from India, suitable for internal screen walls and dividers. Blocks from tropical parts of the world are usually not frostproof and are therefore only suitable for inside use.

These blocks are approx 8 x 8″ and 2 1/2″ thick and 2.5kg each.

If you wish to build a wall with these, due to the weight imbalance caused by the ‘hood’ at the front, you should only build 2 rows at a time, using quick setting cement (use a red colourant to in the cement mix for aesthetics) and 6mm rebar MUST be used in vertical joints with fixing at the top and bottom of the wall to a solid structure. You can also use rebar in the occaisional horizontal joint to maintain rigidity of the finished wall.

Please Note: Manufacturer recommendations for screen block walls are that they should ideally be built with cement based mortar (or cement based tile adhesive where stated) between supporting pillars no more than 2 metres apart and any screen wall should not exceed 4m2 in size when no rigid wall top support is in place. This can be increased to 4 metres between pillars and maximum wall size of 12m2 with 2.5m high pillars when braced across the top with a re-inforced support. This is to ensure rigidity of the finished wall.

All our products are frostproof to ISO 10545-2 unless otherwise marked.

Please be aware that the building products we supply have been formed in a mould and have been fired in a kiln. These are natural products made from 100% pure clay and as a result after firing they can have sharp edges and also be subject to slight distortion and twisting and also display small firecracks. This is a natural result of the drying and firing process and cannot be helped and does not affect the structure of the product. Clay is a natural product and there can be variances in the colours of the finished products. Please use hand protection when moving these products. These sharp edges will weather over time if the product is used in an external environment.
