Description

This interesting new Palisade block produces lattices that are simple and linear. There are 3 different models of block which have either 3, 4 or 5 vertical elements to them which allow three levels of transparency or opacity. All of its pieces can be combined with each other, which facilitates infinite configurations that generate a grid of vertical lines and a subtle visual pattern.

Great for contemporary gardens or modern office spaces, bars or restaurants.

The red unglazed blocks are size – 21w x 27h x 7cm deep. The white version of this block is 0.5cm smaller in height and width. Approx 17 per sq.m. Red blocks in stock as below –

3 vertical bars – weight = 2.5kg – £7.60 ea
4 vertical bars – weight = 3kg – £7.80 ea
5 vertical bars – weight = 3.5kg – £8.00 ea

Use white cement when using the white block or mortar with red colourant added when using the red block to make the joints less apparent.

Please Note: Manufacturer recommendations for screen block walls are that they should ideally be built with cement based mortar (or cement based tile adhesive where stated) between supporting pillars no more than 2 metres apart and any screen wall should not exceed 4m2 in size when no rigid wall top support is in place. This can be increased to 4 metres between pillars and maximum wall size of 12m2 with 2.5m high pillars when braced across the top with a re-inforced support. This is to ensure rigidity of the finished wall.

Please be aware that the building products we supply have been formed in a mould and have been fired in a kiln. These are natural products made from 100% pure clay and as a result after firing they can have sharp edges and also be subject to slight distortion and twisting and also display small firecracks. This is a natural result of the drying and firing process and cannot be helped and does not affect the structure of the product. Clay is a natural product and there can be variances in the colours of the finished products. Please use hand protection when moving these products. These sharp edges will weather over time if the product is used in an external environment.
