These classic shaped pots are hand made, mass produced, cheap, basic and great for serving foods like curry, pasta, risotto, stew, Chinese or Thai/Asian meals. Comes with an unglazed lid. Great for cooking in and can be used in the oven or microwave. Not suitable for hob cooking due to the shape of the base. Get the genuine Indian food taste with this unglazed pot! When lidded, will keep food warm for ages.

This is the ideal pot for take away restaurant food, comes in a variety of 5 sizes to suit your cooking, the 3 larger sizes have a plastic lid handle knob for lifting the lid off.

Choice of 5 sizes and capacities ( filled to bottom of rim):

  • 250ml –  11cm diameter x 8.5cm high (12cm with lid), capacity 425ml
  • 700ml – 14cm diameter x 10cm high (14cm with lid), capacity 850ml
  •  1 Litre – 18cm diameter x 10cm high (14.5cm with lid), capacity 1.1L
  • 2 Litre – 21.5cm diameter x 10.5cm high (15cm with lid), capacity 1.9L
  • 4 Litre – 25cm diameter x 15.5cm high (20.5cm with lid), capacity 4.2L

Sizes may vary due to being hand made. Please note these pots are made in a small Indian factory where there is no quality control, there may be small faults or chips in parts of the pots or lids, it cannot be helped….

Most of our tableware products are sourced in India. Samples of products have been subjected to laboratory testing for leaching of heavy metals into the contents of the cups. Results of these tests are available upon demand but all samples have passed these EU regulatory tests and can be deemed to be suitable ‘For Food Use’. We try, where possible, to source our supplies from small independent and family run businesses.

Some of our tableware products are unglazed earthenware and therefore disposable, you cannot use them again without ‘seasoning’ them first as the porous earthenware can hold the previous food product. You can re-use them as flowerpots, paintpots, trinket pots etc. They are not frostproof.

Please be aware that the products we supply have been formed in a mould and have been fired in a kiln. These are natural products made from 100% clay and as a result after firing they can be subject to slight distortion and twisting and also display small firecracks. This is a natural result of the drying and firing process and cannot be helped and does not affect the structure of the product.
