Description

These extra large diyas are an ideal centrepiece for your diwali celebrations. You have the choice of our popular normal single wick large red diya also suitable for a long burning large tealight. It is deep inside with a scalloped edge, a spout and a flower motif in the bottom, as in the bottom left photo.

The other diyas are 5 wick, handmade in white clay and intricately decorated with scrolls, flowers, leaves and animals. Great for decorating and painting!

You can choose from  –

  • Single wick red – Measures 100mm diameter, 50mm deep. 2 for £1.20 (60p each).
  • Five wick Rose diya – Measures 180mm diameter, 40mm deep. £1.95 each.
  • Five wick Peacock diya – Measures 190mm x 165mm, 40mm deep. £1.95 each.
  • Five wick Turtle diya – Measures 180mm x 200mm, 40mm deep. £1.95 each.
  • Five wick Paisley diya – Measures 235mm x 165mm, 40mm deep. £1.95 each.

All our tableware products are sourced in India. Samples of products have been subjected to laboratory testing for leaching of heavy metals into the contents of the cups. Results of these tests are available upon demand but all samples have passed these EU regulatory tests and can be deemed to be suitable ‘For Food Use’. We try, where possible, to source our supplies from small independent and family run businesses.

Some of our tableware products are unglazed earthenware and therefore disposable, you cannot use them again for food as the porous earthenware can hold the previous product but you can re-use them as flowerpots, paintpots, trinket pots etc. They are not frostproof.

Please be aware that the products we supply have been formed in a mould and have been fired in a kiln. These are natural products made from 100% clay and as a result after firing they can be subject to slight distortion and twisting and also display small firecracks. This is a natural result of the drying and firing process and cannot be helped and does not affect the structure of the product.
